Workshop on Accelerator Operations, Oct 26 - Oct 31, 2014
Erbacher Hof, Mainz, Germany
http://wao2014.desy.de/

WAO2014 will be the ninth in a long line of international workshops on accelerator operation. The questions asked at the first workshop remain the same: What are the most efficient and effective ways to operate a particle accelerator and an operations department? The objective of the workshop is to bring together people that operate accelerators and to help them exchange ideas about accelerator operation, organization, maintenance, documentation, software, control room layout, remote operation, safety and other subjects related to accelerator operations.

The format will be that of a workshop, not of a conference: Short talks with plenty of time for discussions both within and outside the official program.

WAO2014 will provide an opportunity to discover how other labs look at accelerator operations, to share views, to meet people and make friends and to take home new ideas and see if they work there.

WAO2014 is hosted by the GSI Helmholtzzentrum fur Schwerionenforschung, Deutsches Elektronensynchrotron (DESY),
Facility for Antiproton and ion Research in Europe GmbH (FAIR) and Heidelberg Ion-Beam Therapy Center (HIT).

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Mainz.
Michael Bieler (DESY), International Programme Committee Chair
Petra Schuett (GSI), Local Organizing Committee Chair
